Capital Improvement Fund
The Capital Improvement Fund is used to account for all the governmental capital projects throughout the City. The fund's primary revenue source is the "Penny for Pasco" local discretionary sales tax, used as follows: 1. Finance, plan, and construct infrastructure 2. Acquire land for public recreation, conservation, or protection of natural resources. 3. To finance the closure of county or municipal-owned solid waste landfills that have been closed or are required to be closed by order of the DEP. Capital Improvement Fund includes Capital projects in the City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
