   One else come forward, bring it back. Just quickly. Mayor. On the Mr. Pollack, I had written a letter to the attorney on the feasibility of that. I will share that with or. Excuse me, I've written a letter asking about the feasibility of another motion. The city attorney replied some time ago, I'm going to share all that information with the city manager in hopes that she'll distribute that to all council members, and then I'll make a motion at the next meeting based on giving them the opportunity to read the city attorney's opinion or what he wrote on the other topics related to the health and sanitation. That's I'd have to talk to you offline after the meeting. I'd love to discuss with you related to I don't know if we have any sharia law in the city of new port richey, but I do trust our police department, our fire department, to if there's any, any sort of religious institution that there's a concern to enforce the laws as as they normally would. We don't have sharia law in the city, but I understand the concern. The. Miss Phillips, we've had had conversations at length, and I continue to advocate that you. If a civil engineer is able to produce some sort of document substantiating the need for backflow of back flow valves, that I would, you know, continue my advocacy up here on that issue. I disagree with the city manager. I do believe the CRA, CRA funds could be used for that, or some of the five, eight, 5 million in disaster relief. If a civil engineer recommends that that is a viable solution. And then, Mrs. Fiorentino, just to say, I know you took some time to thank the staff and the committee, but also to thank you for your continued effort in keeping the promise and making sure that program goes on for those that were alive and and experienced that tragedy firsthand, but also for our students and our in our schools who were born after the fact. And they can remember that history. So thank you. Thank you for keeping that alive for our kids. Yes, sir. First of all, to Mr. Pollack did see that the minutes incorporated and are part of our official record and did show the pictures that were there. Looking at those pictures and the time frame and the sandwich of your of your sign in between it. You know, I think a different approach is in order. I think two properties, and I'm not sure about the one on the highway with the thicker legs. And maybe that isn't what we call a pole sign. But in any case, I believe the answer for this problem is to have a revisit and determine that this is a grandfathered sign. Considered that there have been a number of times when the city has has allowed things to go through. And I think that your argument was compelling. So rather than another hearing, we certainly need to look at our code and make sure we clarify it. And I appreciate you bringing that to our attention, but I'm personally ready to just grandfather this thing in. While the county is working on their other side of the road, which is which are your neighbors to the. On Trouble Creek that is not inside the city limits. So that's an argument for you to take to the county commission. We don't have any authority over that property at all. To Jackie Phillips, we continue to listen and. My ears are open and I await some kind of action. Hopefully, that you will feel more comfortable living at your home in our city and with the hopes that the people that surround you, who are in some cases, who are outside the city limits, they should be brought into the city. And we look at that whole neighborhood as our own. Finally, to have their fiorentino again, thank you for just all the years that you've done this. But I do have to say, I do have a concern that last year caused me some grief, and that is that the military gentleman who spoke on behalf of congressman bilirakis, went on to a bit of a kind of a tear about Hillary Clinton and benghazi. So to your point of us all coming together, I'm [00:20:05] Really I dream of the day when that happens, but I think it's inappropriate for somebody to speak to the crowd and start that kind of negative, whatever was negative in the speech. I'm sure it was not written by. Mr. By our congressman, but I would ask if you would just make sure everybody knows it's about nine over 11. It's about the loss of lives of all colors, creeds, parties, etc. That's all I have, right? Yeah. No, I you know, I'm in agreeance with the sign issue with nathan. I'm kind of looking forward to seeing this letter for councilman butler. So I'm going to kind of wait for that and then let's let's proceed. And, you know, let's move this thing along and be done with it. Obviously the mosque situation. Peter, you clarified that. I kind of figured it was outside the city. And then also with Jackie Phillips, you know, let's see, you know, what this, you know, engineer provides, you know, if there is a possibility to use those hurricane funds and let's, let's find that out. And, you know, let's kind of move along on that and get that, you know, put to rest as well. And, you know, thank you. Heather ferrentino for the nine over 11 memorial and we look forward to seeing that. So thank you, matt. Yeah, I think, Mr. Fiorentino, for spearheading that and, and always coming to speak to us about it. I appreciate that. Appreciate all your hard work with that. Definitely. I don't I don't think this is probably the proper venue, but maybe if there's some issues going on at the restaurant, maybe especially the health violations, things like that, I would I would take it up with them or even osha might be a better avenue to talk to people there about. Address the mosque. And then Jackie Phillips, I mean, if there's some some fund out there that that you qualify for that they would give you money. I mean, by all means, you know, have at it. I just I think it's a slippery slope there. You know, there's a lot of other other people in the city too, that would have to be provided for also not just your neighborhood. And then what else would fall under that? And I just think it's, you know, where it's at is your house is, is, is for your home. There might be some things we can do city wise on the outside on our system, but going into individual homes, I don't think that's a that's something we should be doing. But that's my opinion. I guess that's it. I just want to. Didn't I talk to you, debbie? Doesn't nathan have a variance to like next till 27? He has a stay stay on the order to demolish. Yes. Yeah.    Beverage special event special event permit before you this evening relates to the fall concert series and Sims Park and miss figard is prepared to present the agenda item to you. Thank you, city manager, and thank you, city council, for this opportunity to present this council agenda item. The purpose of the business item is to request your approval of the alcoholic beverage special event permit application submitted by newport richie main street incorporated to sell beer, seltzers and water as a fundraiser at the city's fall concert series and Sims Park. Upon reviewing the three city sponsored concert events at which NPR main street organization provided beverage sales this calendar year, the set team, the special event team, reported no issues in connection with the sales. They cited no objections and approved the proposed site map as attached to this item. Based on this experience, the staff supports the current request and respectfully presents this item for your consideration and direction. And a board member of NPR main street. Nathan is [00:25:06] Here in attendance this evening. If you should have any questions for main street or myself. Thank you. Do you have any public comment? Seeing no one come forward, bring it back for discussion and vote to approve. I'll second. So just city staff. A quick question. So new port richey parks and rec and public works we're still putting on the concert. Main street is just looking to get approved for alcohol sales, correct? Correct. Okay. And then the the sales from that benefit the newport richie main street organization, which is a 501 c three. It's a nonprofit. It's a it's a charity in devilish endeavor. So yeah, I'm all in favor of that. I appreciate newport, richie main street for stepping up. And I don't know where the idea originated, but it did look like a, a missing opportunity to be able to generate some sales. So whoever thought that we should be selling stuff during that concert series, that's a great idea. Second, no, I think it's a it's a great idea. The only thing that I would like to bring up that we had mentioned previously, you know, we had some, you know, residents come in and request to have some nonalcoholic options for, for drinks. So I'm just curious, are we going to be doing that? We are in response to the question. Awesome. Thank you. I just I just want to make sure that, you know, the people who did bring that to us were listening to them. And we're, we're putting it out there for them. So thank you, nathan. Matt. No, I'm good. I see a copy of a check to the city for $350. Is that a it says it's the a bsep fee. Is that. What. That's the application. The application fee. For application to the city. That's a city revenue is what? Yes. So again, what I'd like to see is that fees and revenues collected that are that are associated with events and concerts that we put on. I would love to see us start some kind of a fund. And as I mentioned before, I would love to see also in the water department on bills, the ability for us to start a fund in the city that would be called the cultural activities fund, or something that could support music and art in the city. There are a lot of places that do a round up for a dollar. You might see that at a drive through restaurant or something else. Sometimes when someone will say, do you like to round up for this or that? I think a lot of finance offices and collections facilities are allowing people to, to round up. And oftentimes people say, yes. And so I'd like to see us start creating a fund that could be a rainy day fund for making sure that we, we improve and enhance our, our activities in the, in the park. I'm good. You already asked. Hey, matt, can I, can I steal your time? I wanted to get one more thing out, if you don't mind. Tom. Thank you. The I got I got to get in there before the mayor starts hitting the gavel. The the our golf cart ordinance, the changes to the driving and parking and parks or ordinance is is that has that taken effect and will that impact these concerts? And I'm just seeing the mix of alcohol and golf carts and what, what what that I know the police department already does an excellent job at having a presence at these events, but I just imagine that's something to take into consideration. I don't know if we want to put signage up or where the sales sale points taking place or how that's going to work, but you got golf carts parked there. They're drinking on their golf carts. What does that look like? We have solidified a plan of how we'll handle that going forward at the concerts, and we've reserved special parking areas and special serving areas within the park.
