[00:00:44] at that part I said this is a resolution number 20 2504 declare a state of local [00:00:56] state of emergency having to do with a storm on October 4th the National [00:01:02] Weather Service issued an advisory for Tropical Storm Milton which has formed [00:01:07] in the western Gulf of Mexico the current computer models are all in [00:01:12] agreement that the system will move into the eastern Gulf of Mexico where it will [00:01:18] strengthen into a hurricane the governor has issued executive order 24 [00:01:25] to 14 which has declared a state of emergency and 35 of Florida counties to [00:01:32] include Pasco counties ahead of the storm therefore I'm asking you to declare [00:01:39] a local state of emergency and in anticipation of the impacts associated [00:01:44] with a tropical storm hurricane Milton thereby effectuating the necessary [00:01:52] authorities that the administration will need to enter into contracts incur [00:01:59] obligations extend employment to perform public works projects and to rent [00:02:07] equipment acquire and distribute with or without compensation any supplies and [00:02:14] materials or facilities necessary to protect the best interests of the city [00:02:20] we have any public comment so you know we come forward bring it back for [00:02:24] discussion and vote move for approval [00:02:28] be safe if we don't know what really this next storms doing but keep an eye [00:02:34] out and just be safe out there yep and hope everybody in evacuation zones [00:02:40] evacuate because this could be as bad as the last one related to the [00:02:46] evacuation issues spent some time this weekend I want to thank the staff that [00:02:52] came over to Harborview Mobile Home Park to talk to them they're in a desperate [00:02:56] condition including stories that some of the folks are still hunkering down for [00:03:04] fear of losing everything that they have I know that in addition to the [00:03:10] zones A and B that mobile home are under evacuation order and there was a [00:03:20] desperate cry from a number of them that they don't know where to go or what to [00:03:23] do so it really is a serious issue for those who can't afford I hope that the [00:03:32] city makes extra efforts in those low-income areas to ensure folks know [00:03:37] where to go to evacuate and whatever assistance might be for the elderly I [00:03:44] heard also the hospitals are being evacuated I'm not so or shut yeah [00:03:50] evacuated and I miss expecting that that includes our own hospital here in town [00:03:56] I'm not sure put a call out to Brandon May this morning but we have not [00:04:00] connected but I will let you know that as soon as I become aware of what their [00:04:04] plans are so so much of what we experienced is related to the title [00:04:10] search and so much of just hair trigger change and where that thing lands is [00:04:17] going to depend on whether we have water or we have a we have an empty river [00:04:21] which we've seen before you know I know you reckon you mentioned that there [00:04:27] would be updates on the website on a regular basis and I think if if that's [00:04:31] the best place for information it's just you got it's it's a sad state of waiting [00:04:39] to see whether or not it's tidal or wind but again this is declining the [00:04:48] emergency I just wanted to mention the dire straits that folks are in and you [00:04:54] all know better than me because I know you've been out in the communities more [00:04:59] than I have but I did get quite a taste of it over the weekend in terms of [00:05:03] hearing those individual stories so when it add anything else I did want to add [00:05:11] that the state of emergency will be in effect until October 8th so it will be [00:05:17] for seven days all those in favor signify by aye those opposed to that for [00:05:23] nothing anybody have any communication they want to go ahead just a couple of [00:05:28] things the debris pickup is definitely going to be another issue and hopefully [00:05:34] anybody that can can secure their items but I know we're starting debris pickup [00:05:38] today but I know that there's a main drainage over on River Road off of like [00:05:45] near veterans near mr. Rossi's home that's like the main drain and it's [00:05:50] covered by stuff right now debris and so I would really like to see that those [00:05:53] those big drains get cleared because otherwise we're going to have even more [00:05:57] flooding than before I've had Public Works working all weekend they started [00:06:04] picking up debris yesterday and we brought in contractors to pick up debris [00:06:10] that are starting today in addition to the storm contractor that is start that [00:06:21] is scheduled to start today so that we can pick up the most we can from the [00:06:28] most heavily impacted areas in advance of Milton we're having some some [00:06:35] difficulty with the county in terms of getting a place to dump and so we are [00:06:45] dumping at Pine Hill currently which is not the best method we do not have a [00:06:51] permit to dump there we will have to move it a second time but we have to get [00:06:58] it off the streets the best we can and so that is what we're doing and I think [00:07:02] that any of the big drains like that that's like a drainage for the
